Building the Future of Intelligence in Memphis

Memphis is home to Colossus, a state-of-the-art supercomputer that is also the powerbehind Grok - xAI's revolutionary AI companion.

By 2026, xAI plans to equip this facility with 1 million GPUs (special computer chips) to enhance the speed and intelligence of our AI systems.

Ludicrously Efficient

We're doing this right.

We were told it would take 24 months to build the world’s biggest AI supercomputer, Colossus, the computing power behind Grok. Instead, we started from first principles, questioned everything, took the project into our own hands, and accomplished our goal in 4 months.

Throughout the process, we worked closely with Memphis Mayor Paul Young, Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn and other elected officials and community leaders, as well as utility companies like Memphis Light, Gas and Water, (MLGW) and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).

We are a company of engineers and problem solvers.

Throughout the process, our team has worked closely with local elected officials, Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW), and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).We are committed to being a responsible neighbors to the City of Memphis - creating newopportunities, revitalizing the city's industrial footprint, and helping position Memphis as the centre of a new Digital Delta: a national hub for advanced manufacturing and high-performance infrastructure.
