  • At x.ai, we’re building an artificial intelligence powered personal assistant. The software schedules meetings for you, eliminating the email ping pong usually required to find a time and place to meet. You’ll get to work side by side with a group of focused and passionate people building the next generation of AI.

    About The Role:

The Account Executive (AE) for the “Enterprise Team” will close incremental revenue by driving evaluations with prospective customers. A successful candidate will excel at gathering customer requirements, running highly-structured POCs, and developing onboarding strategies to maximize customer-engagement.

You have a consultative sales approach, a proven track-record of success in an inside-sales environment, and the ability to sell a cutting-edge technology such as A.I. We are looking for a strongly self-motivated and driven individual who is a forward-thinker, tenacious, process-driven, and can effectively interact with a team. You are ready to jump right into a dynamic team-selling environment with an experienced SDR & CSM by your side from day one.

This position has advancement potential within the sales organization, and the compensation package includes an uncapped commission structure plus equity.

    • Work closely with x.ai management to track and achieve organizational KPIs
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners such as product and marketing to help direct company resources based on potential revenue and strategic impact
    • Leverage Salesforce & sales-tools to increase pipeline generation, reduce sales cycles, and improve win rates

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of total sales experience as an all-star SDR, BDR, AE, AM, or other quota-bearing inside-sales role
    • Prior experience closing land-and-expand deals in the Enterprise segment
    • SaaS sales experience is mandatory
    • Salesforce.com experience is mandatory
    • Ideally (but not required), you should have the following:

  • About the x.ai team

At x.ai you’ll have an opportunity to work with an inspiring group of highly intelligent, curious, and super-engaged people coming from all walks of life.  Our challenge is not easily tackled by mimicking technology that has come before us.  We are building something that’s never been built before, and that means the initiatives you’ll take on will push you to your limits.  But you’ll have a truly amazing team on your side.  Everyone on our team relishes our challenge, and helps each other and learns from each other.  If this excites you rather than intimidates you, come join us.

We feel like one of our greatest strengths is the diversity of our team.  We come from different countries, technical backgrounds, welcome teammates across the LGBTQ spectrum, have different personalities and perspectives, and we even employ a couple of non-human animals (Lumi and Rupert).  This diversity of background leads to diversity of thought, and we nurture it with conviction.  The women in our organization meet regularly to discuss issues concerning women in tech, and we have a monthly diversity group workshop to make sure we’re continuing to strengthen our team’s awareness, understanding and engagement with diversity.  We’ve had great success with people moving from all over the country to work with us, so if you’re thinking about moving to NYC, you won’t regret it!

    About our challenge

At x.ai, we believe everyone deserves a helpful artificial intelligence assistant to give you back the hours spent in meeting scheduling ping-pong. We are building AI personal assistants (Amy and Andrew) that schedule meetings for you. This is a yet unsolved problem within AI, and a formidable technical challenge.

Our team has spent 4 years building the powerful, fundamental technology to allow us to solve the meeting scheduling problem. While we’ll always be working to make Amy and Andrew smarter, our next big challenge is scaling, to make them available to everyone in the world.

    About You

You are an enthusiastic developer who brings with you the experiences you’ve learned building distributed systems in at least one of your previous roles.  You care about the system, not the specific languages or technologies used to build it.  You have garnered good judgement and formidable persistence in the face of challenges, always pushing forward to improve the technology in measured steps.  You’ve failed and made mistakes, and you’ve learned from those mistakes, giving you invaluable tools for decision making on your future challenges.

You’re humble, collaborative, can push and pull when discussing different approaches to solving problems and most of all, you care deeply about being part of a respectful group of engineers tackling a very difficult problem.

    Responsibilities

    • Build and deploy highly available services and system components that will stand up to rapid growth in the coming years
    • Participate in the technical design and implementation of new features and system components
    • Articulate capacity and monitoring plans for the services you work on
    • Deliver maintainable, well-tested code
    • Partner with, teach and learn from other engineers
    • Drive scalability and performance within our distributed AI system

    Qualifications

    • Experience working on distributed systems with 24/7 availability
    • BS or MS in Computer Science (or related field)
    • Intellectually curious, collaborative, self-motivated, fast learner that is comfortable with uncertainties
    • Experience building APIs engineers love to use
    • Bonus: experience with Functional Programming, Scala, Machine Learning, Python, MongoDB, Node.js, AWS, Docker, Linux/Unix

    Why x.ai?

    • Work with a team of amazing people
    • Tackle a problem not solved before
    • Self-managed and flexible paid time off - vacation & sick time
    • Healthcare: Medical, Dental, Vision
    • 401K
    • Gym membership (or activity equivalent) on us
    • Team outings, both near and far
    • Collaborative work spaces
    • Weekly catered team dinners and a steady flow of coffee & beer
    • Your own personal assistants, Amy and Andrew

    About You

You are an enthusiastic full stack developer with a keen eye for visual details as well as technical details.  You're capable of building and deploying all aspects of web applications: database management, api design, front end development and testing.  This position will be responsible for high touch points with our users and prospective users from the world at large, so creating technology to make our user experiences better, as well as working on initiatives to draw new users to our platform should both be exciting to you.  You have mentored and taught others on your team about best practices, programming languages and other facets of software development.  You're a leader and that's important to you.

You’re humble, collaborative, can push and pull when discussing different approaches to solving problems and most of all, you care deeply about being part of a respectful group of engineers tackling a very difficult problem.

    Responsibilities

Full-stack developers at x.ai own the full lifecycle of building web applications, from system design to deployment.

    • Select those projects where your skills and interests will have the greatest impact and drive those projects to completion
    • Design, build, test, deliver, and operate web applications using the Angular framework, Node.js and Express
    • Participate in technical decision-making, helping to bring our technology stack into the future, and adding new technologies and frameworks when pragmatic and appropriate
    • Help lead our JavaScript practice, cultivating and instrumenting knowledge sharing about the state of the art in JavaScript programming among engineers and data scientists
    • Mentor colleagues, participate in pair programming and skill-building, and generally raise the level of web application development expertise across our tech team

    Qualifications

    • You are a JavaScript expert. You have opinions about JavaScript frameworks, even if you don’t know ours.
    • You know backend programming in some language. We use Node.js, Scala, and Python (so experience in any of those is a bonus).
    • You have non-trivial database experience. We use MongoDB, so experience with a document database is ideal.
    • You’ve used some modern cloud infrastructure to deploy and operate applications. We use AWS and a Mesos stack using Docker.
    • Strong attention to visual and front end design, with strong HTML/CSS experience

    Why x.ai?

    • Work with a team of amazing people
    • Tackle a problem not solved before
    • Self-managed and flexible paid time off - vacation & sick time
    • Healthcare: Medical, Dental, Vision

And we love all the varieties, so we aimed to make our benefits as flexible as possible.

  • Healthcare

The company contributes generously to the health, dental, and vision plans for all employees (and their families). And we kindly ask that you eat your fruits and vegetables!

  • Gym Membership

We want your synapses to fire as fast as possible, so hitting the gym once in a while might not be that bad of an idea. It’s on us.

  • Commuter Benefits

We offer pre-tax transit benefits – you won’t pay taxes on your MetroCard (or whichever transit system gets you to and from) or wait in line ever again!

  • Savings - 401(K)

Every penny counts! We want to help you save for retirement with a 401(K) savings plan (pre-taxed dollars).

  • Parental Leave

We love tiny humans, too! Our parental leave benefit extends 3 months paid leave for primary caregivers, and 1 month paid leave for secondary caregivers. We also offer adoption and IVF support.

  • Unlimited

Amy and Andrew can work 24/7, but we humans can’t. It’s important to unplug – like, really unplug. We offer flexible vacation on a peer approval basis and ask that every human take a minimum of ten days off per year.

  • Self-Managed Conference Budget

We want to support our humans as they learn and get in touch with their communities, so we set up a company-wide budget for event attendance.

  • Weekly Team Dinners

We love food and each other’s company, so each week we come together as a team to feast on a catered dinner from a new NYC restaurant!

  • Team Trips

Work hard, play hard! We have fun in the office everyday, but we amp up the fun once a year with a team trip, whether it’s hangin’ on the slopes or by the campfire.
